Well this year has been another year of challenges for many of us.
As we hopefully make our way through the covid pandemic to the other side, may we remember some of the things we have learned in the last two years.
Take nothing for granted. Be engaged. Make sure you tell your loved ones that you love them.
Hold them close. Stay in touch. (Again I will promise to be better at this in the new year.)
However you celebrate the season, I hope it is a time of love and celebration for you and your family.
As always, my thanks for your love and support throughout the year.
I want to share two quotes with you:
In an episode of CBC Sunday Magazine in an interview with Piya Chattopadhyay, Maude Barlow asked to end with this quote from the Talmud –
Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world’s grief Do justly, now. Love mercy, now. Walk humbly, now.You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it.And I am always uplifted by the words of Jack Layton:
My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic.
May 2023 be a year for rejoicing.
Stay safe, stay healthy, be Hopeful.
